REPRESENTATIVES OF NATIONAL ACADEMY PARTICIPATED IN DISCUSSION OF CURRENT STATE AND PERSPECTIVES OF DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE


On October 22-23, 2019, representatives of the National Academy took part in the international scientific-practical conference "Public service: the current state and prospects of development", held in Minsk (Belarus). The event was organized by the Academy of Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus together with the Astana Hub in the field of public service and the Council of Europe. Representatives of international organizations, state bodies and scientific communities of the Republic of Belarus, experts and scientists from Europe and Asia also participated in the conference. Among the participants were 46 foreign experts from 20 countries.

After the plenary session, the work of the conference continued in the format of thematic sessions - Council of Europe Session, International Session, Session "Main Areas of Public Service Development", during which participants got acquainted with the international experience of public service modernization, discussed existing problematic issues and possible options for their solution, presented recommendations on the improvement and comprehensive legal regulation of the public service.

During the thematic sessions, the Head of the Chair of Public Administration and Public Service Svitlana Khadzhyradieva gave a presentation on the experience of organizing the public service in Ukraine in the context of reforms. Nataliia Larina, professor at the Chair of Public Administration and Public Service brought to the discussion the issue of in-service training of public servants in the context of reforms. Head of the Chair of Social Development and Public Power Relations Liliia Goniukova devoted her speech to the influence of civil society on the reform of public administration.
